Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: August 20, 2026

Welcome to SkipLaundry ("SkipLaundry," "we," "our," or "us"). These Terms & Conditions govern your use of SkipLaundry's laundry pickup, processing, wash-and-fold, and delivery services. By submitting a pickup request, placing an order, or otherwise using our services, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. Services

SkipLaundry provides residential laundry pickup, wash, dry, fold, and delivery services in designated service areas.

Services may be performed directly by SkipLaundry or, when necessary, through qualified third-party laundry processors, commercial laundromats, or other service providers used by SkipLaundry.

SkipLaundry remains the customer's point of contact for orders placed directly through SkipLaundry.

Service availability may vary based on location, operating capacity, order size, weather, holidays, and other circumstances.

2. Pricing and Minimum Order

Standard wash-and-fold service is currently priced at $2.99 per pound, subject to a 20-pound minimum.

Orders weighing less than 20 pounds will be billed at the 20-pound minimum.

Standard pickup and delivery are included with qualifying wash-and-fold orders. SkipLaundry currently does not charge a separate standard service fee.

Final pricing is determined after the laundry is weighed.

Additional charges or separate pricing may apply to specialty items, oversized items, excessive soil, special-care requests, rush services, or other non-standard services. Any applicable additional charge will be communicated when reasonably possible before the additional service is performed.

Prices may change in the future. An order will generally be governed by the pricing presented to the customer when the order is submitted, unless the customer requests or approves an additional service.

3. Scheduling and Pickup Windows

Customers may request service through SkipLaundry's website, mobile application, phone, text message, or another approved booking method.

Standard pickup windows may include:

  • Morning: 6:00 AM–10:00 AM
  • Evening: 5:00 PM–9:00 PM

Morning pickups must generally be booked by 9:00 PM the previous evening.

Evening pickups must generally be booked by 2:00 PM the same day.

Available pickup windows shown during booking control availability for that order.

Pickup and delivery windows are estimated windows rather than guaranteed arrival times. Traffic, weather, order volume, emergencies, vehicle issues, or other circumstances may cause delays.

We will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant delays.

4. Turnaround Time

SkipLaundry aims to return most standard wash-and-fold orders the next day.

Next-day service is an estimated standard turnaround and is not guaranteed.

Turnaround may be extended because of order size, garment-care requirements, stains, processing capacity, equipment availability, weather, holidays, transportation issues, third-party processor availability, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

5. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate contact, pickup, and delivery information.
  • Ensuring laundry is accessible during the scheduled pickup window.
  • Placing laundry in an appropriate bag or container before pickup.
  • Emptying all garment pockets.
  • Removing cash, jewelry, electronics, identification documents, keys, medication, and other valuables or personal belongings.
  • Informing SkipLaundry of known delicate fabrics, special-care requirements, allergies, or other relevant instructions before processing.
  • Reviewing garment care labels before submitting items for standard wash-and-fold service.

SkipLaundry is not responsible for personal property left inside pockets, garments, laundry bags, or containers except to the extent otherwise required by applicable law.

6. Washing and Processing

Laundry will be processed using commercially available laundry equipment, detergents, and cleaning products.

Laundry may be separated according to color, fabric type, garment-care requirements, load size, or other reasonable processing considerations.

Unless special instructions have been accepted by SkipLaundry, items will be processed using our standard wash-and-fold procedures.

SkipLaundry may process orders directly or use qualified third-party laundry processors or commercial laundry facilities when operationally appropriate.

7. Garment Inspection and Pre-Existing Conditions

SkipLaundry will exercise reasonable care when handling customer laundry.

When reasonably possible, garments may be inspected for visible damage before or during processing.

Normal laundering can reveal or worsen pre-existing conditions including:

  • Weak or deteriorated fabric
  • Loose stitching or seams
  • Missing or loose buttons
  • Existing discoloration
  • Color bleeding
  • Fading
  • Shrinkage
  • Previously treated stains
  • Manufacturer defects
  • Damage caused by incorrect or inaccurate care labels

SkipLaundry is not responsible for damage resulting primarily from pre-existing conditions, ordinary wear and tear, manufacturer defects, or inaccurate garment-care instructions.

8. Stains

SkipLaundry will make reasonable efforts to clean garments using standard commercial laundry methods.

Stain removal is not guaranteed.

Some stains may not be removable because of age, fabric composition, prior treatment, heat exposure, dyes, chemicals, or previous laundering.

SkipLaundry may decline aggressive stain treatment when we reasonably believe treatment could damage the garment.

9. Delicate and Specialty Items

Customers should not include the following items in standard wash-and-fold orders unless SkipLaundry has specifically agreed to accept them:

  • Items labeled "Dry Clean Only"
  • Leather
  • Suede
  • Fur
  • Wedding dresses
  • Heirloom or irreplaceable textiles
  • High-value specialty garments
  • Items requiring professional specialty cleaning

Specialty and dry-cleaning services may be offered separately in the future.

If an item requiring specialty care is included without disclosure or prior approval, SkipLaundry's responsibility for resulting damage may be limited to the extent permitted by law.

10. Pickup and Delivery

Customers are responsible for providing accurate addresses and access instructions.

Customers do not necessarily need to be present when an approved secure pickup or delivery location has been arranged.

When a customer authorizes SkipLaundry to leave laundry at a designated unattended location, delivery will be considered completed once the order has been placed at that approved location.

After delivery to an authorized unattended location, the customer assumes responsibility for the order, including risks associated with theft, weather, animals, building access, or third-party interference, except as otherwise required by law.

11. Missed Pickups and Failed Deliveries

Customers should ensure that laundry is available and accessible during the scheduled pickup window.

If SkipLaundry cannot complete a pickup or delivery because of an incorrect address, inaccessible location, unavailable customer, missing laundry, unsafe conditions, or another circumstance within the customer's control, the order may need to be rescheduled.

Repeated missed pickups or failed delivery attempts may result in service restrictions or refusal of future service.

Any additional fee for a special redelivery or non-standard trip will be disclosed before being charged.

12. Order Changes and Cancellations

Customers may cancel an order before the laundry has been collected.

Once SkipLaundry has taken possession of the laundry, the order generally cannot be canceled because transportation, processing, sorting, or other work may already have begun.

Customers should contact SkipLaundry as soon as possible if a booking needs to be changed or canceled.

Repeated missed pickups or cancellations may result in service restrictions.

13. Payment

Final payment is based on the applicable pricing and the final processing weight determined after the laundry is weighed.

After pricing is finalized, customers may receive a secure payment link through SkipLaundry's payment processor.

Unless otherwise agreed, payment must be completed before final delivery of the order.

SkipLaundry does not require customers to provide payment-card information directly to SkipLaundry through ordinary email or text messages.

Failed, reversed, disputed, or fraudulent payments may result in delayed delivery, suspension of service, or other lawful collection measures.

14. Lost or Damaged Items

SkipLaundry exercises reasonable care in handling customer garments but cannot guarantee against every form of loss or damage inherent in laundry processing.

SkipLaundry is generally not responsible for:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Pre-existing damage
  • Weak or deteriorated fabric
  • Manufacturer defects
  • Damage resulting from inaccurate care labels
  • Ordinary fading
  • Color bleeding not caused by negligent handling
  • Shrinkage consistent with garment-care characteristics
  • Items left in pockets or bags
  • Undisclosed specialty or delicate items

For a verified loss or damage caused by SkipLaundry's negligence, SkipLaundry's liability will be limited, to the extent permitted by applicable law, to the lesser of:

  1. Reasonable repair cost;
  2. Fair replacement value based on the item's age and condition; or
  3. Ten (10) times the laundering charge attributable to the affected item.

Maximum liability is $200 per order, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

SkipLaundry may request photographs, receipts, proof of value, or inspection of the affected item before resolving a claim.

15. Claims

Claims involving suspected lost or damaged garments must be submitted to SkipLaundry within 7 days of delivery.

Customers should provide the order number, description of the affected item, explanation of the issue, and photographs or other supporting information when available.

Failure to report a claim within the stated period may affect SkipLaundry's ability to investigate the issue, subject to applicable law.

16. Cleaning Quality Concerns

If you believe your laundry was not processed according to SkipLaundry's reasonable quality standards, contact us within 24 hours of delivery.

When appropriate, SkipLaundry may offer to re-clean affected items at no additional charge.

Re-cleaning is generally the primary remedy for ordinary cleaning-quality concerns and does not apply to permanent stains, pre-existing garment conditions, or damage outside SkipLaundry's reasonable control.

17. Prohibited Items and Unsafe Laundry

Customers must not submit laundry containing or contaminated by:

  • Biohazardous materials
  • Human or animal waste beyond ordinary household soiling
  • Hazardous chemicals
  • Gasoline
  • Flammable substances
  • Oil-soaked materials presenting a combustion risk
  • Wet paint
  • Hazardous waste
  • Fire-damaged materials
  • Insect or pest infestations
  • Needles, sharps, weapons, or other dangerous objects

SkipLaundry may refuse, isolate, or return items that present a safety, sanitation, legal, or equipment risk.

18. Unclaimed Laundry

SkipLaundry will make reasonable attempts to contact customers regarding completed but unclaimed laundry.

Laundry remaining unclaimed for 90 days after reasonable notification attempts may be donated, discarded, or otherwise disposed of as permitted by applicable law.

Outstanding charges may remain due.

19. Third-Party Service Providers

SkipLaundry may use third-party providers to support operations, including laundry processing facilities, payment processors, communications providers, hosting providers, delivery personnel, and other business-service providers.

Information may be shared with these providers only as reasonably necessary to provide or support the requested service, subject to our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

20. Privacy

SkipLaundry collects and uses customer information for purposes including order fulfillment, pickup and delivery, customer communication, payment processing, customer support, security, recordkeeping, and business operations.

SkipLaundry does not sell customer personal information.

Additional information regarding data practices is provided in the SkipLaundry Privacy Policy.

21. Force Majeure

SkipLaundry will not be responsible for delays or failures to perform caused by circumstances reasonably beyond our control, including severe weather, natural disasters, power or utility outages, equipment failures, transportation disruptions, labor disruptions, governmental actions, emergencies, or similar events.

We will make reasonable efforts to resume or complete service when conditions permit.

22. Refusal or Suspension of Service

SkipLaundry reserves the right to refuse or suspend service when reasonably necessary because of:

  • Unsafe or unsanitary conditions
  • Fraud or suspected fraud
  • Abusive or threatening conduct
  • Repeated nonpayment
  • Repeated missed pickups
  • Prohibited items
  • Service-area limitations
  • Operational limitations
  • Violations of these Terms

Nothing in this section permits unlawful discrimination.

23. Changes to These Terms

SkipLaundry may update these Terms & Conditions as the service evolves.

The effective date displayed at the top of the Terms will indicate the current version.

Orders will generally remain subject to the version accepted when the customer submitted the order, except where changes are required by law or subsequently agreed to by the customer.

24. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable federal or other law requires otherwise.
